West Linn is located just east of Lake Oswego and has a wonderful mountain offering homes with a view of Mt. Hood and the Willamette River that are spectacular. The housing ranges from small bungalows for around $300,000, large older homes in the mid $400's, to executive homes in the range of $500 - $900,000. If we have a Yuppie community, this is it. Average age is between 35 and 45 with the highest income per household in the State. Plus with 5 Starbucks you are never more than 5 minutes away from a cup of coffee. The Willamette side of West Linn is located on the East side of I-205 and contains a historic district and a very nice grouping of shops and restaurants. This area has a real sense of community and is very different from the other areas. Every time I'm in West Linn, whether it's morning, noon or night, I see people jogging and riding bikes down to the riverfront park . This area has a more modest price range of about $300-$500,000. Marelhurst College is also located in West Linn along the river. The community sports program is very active and has a very high involvement from many parents. School events are well attended and generally the community is very involved in it's schools and children, with a large percentage of Stay at home Moms.
